Chris van Niekerk
Principal

Chris van Niekerk completed the B.Arch degree with distinction at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 2002. He was the recipient of the Corobrik award in 2003, the most sought after architectural award at student level for his thesis entitled ‘Extraneousness’ which was published in ‘Visions of the Future’, by the Royal Institute of British Architecture in 2003. He was awarded a scholarship for the MSc(Arch) degree at TUDelft in the Netherlands, whilst taking up a position at Erick van Egeraat Associated Architects in London. He then moved to Cape Town, where he gained experience designing multi-use and high-end residential architecture and interiors in collaboration with several local architects. He is a member of SACAP, SAIA and CIA.

Pierre du Plessis
Principal

Pierre du Plessis completed the B.Arch degree with distinction at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 2001. Thereafter he moved to London and gained experience in restoration and renovation work. Since moving to Cape Town in 2003, he has gained experience in designing urban hotels, resort hotels, restaurants, multi-use buildings, residential houses, industrial buildings and Islamic religious buildings. In collaboration with a Cape Town based architectural company he won the competition project for the now completed Mandela Rhodes development in Cape Town’s CBD. In 2007 he was invited as external examiner to the final year architecture students at the University of Cape Town. He is a member of SACAP.
